As a foundation for a solo career, the Concert Exam (further education) offers exceptionally talented musicians with one of the following subjects an additional course of study:
Voice, Composition, Organ and Chamber Music (at least three ensemble members)
- Duration of study: 2 up to 4 semesters
- Graduation: masterclass (certificate)
- Costs: 2,000 Euros per semester
Course of studies
The further education programme includes main subject teaching (1 semester hours per week) in the chosen main subject.
Admission requirements for the qualifying examination
Entitlement to study is demonstrated exclusively by a special artistic aptitude. This proof requires a Master's degree or diploma relevant to the main subject or a comparable degree, stage or concert experience as a soloist in the main subject.
Requirements in the Qualifying Examination
In the qualifying examination, a programme of the highest difficulty with complete works from various epochs, including the 20th and 21st centuries, is expected. The programme must comprise at least 90 minutes (chamber music, organ) or 60 minutes (voice) of music. A video must be submitted with the application for participation in the qualifying examination procedure.
